The Benton County Historical Society's Corvallis Museum, located in a new LEED-certified building designed by Allied Works Architecture, offers visitors an immersive historical experience. The museum boasts a diverse collection of over 140,000 objects, including regional artifacts and art, international objects, and natural history specimens from the former Horner Museum at Oregon State University. With the help of Sticky, the museum has introduced interactive exhibits, such as an object viewer that lets visitors browse objects in whimsical categories, framed wall displays of curated historical photos that dynamically switch to new sets every few minutes, and simple touchscreen video players showcasing historical films. All these features aim to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the rich history of Benton County.
