Playtime Prototyping
We're excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at our work-in-progress prototypes, developed in collaboration with Figure Plant and "plus and greater than." These interactive carts are designed for the children's section at the Deschutes County Library.
The Music Making Cart is a collaborative station that lets kids explore melody, rhythm, and improvised sounds. This cart is a symphony of custom electronics, midi controller, and 3D-printed supports.
The Dance + Play Cart offers two modes: a red-light green-light game and a simple music player, encouraging kids to get up and move.
What sets these projects apart is the focus on physical interfaces—buttons, knobs, and silhouetted light shapes—offering a tactile alternative to the conventional touchscreen experience.
Both prototypes are in the testing phase, and we can't wait to integrate them into the final casework. Stay tuned for more updates!
